    This field doesn’t actually validate http vs https, it just validates if there is a protocol at all and if not it prepends http.

    Since most sites nowadays are running on https we might as well change the default here. However, most sites also auto-redirect to their https URL anyway.

    Not sure what the best procedure would be here.
    If you have any suggestions for this, please file a report on GitHub so we can take a look at this further and possibly get it into a release.
