Website for finding and showcasing themes

  • Just letting WordPress users and theme designers know about a website for finding, uploading, maintaining and displaying themes. ThemeBot.com is a site that specializes in showcasing themes for open source software. There are galleries for content management systems, blog and forum software.

    It is free to join and upload a theme. New themes are featured on the homepage. A high quality gallery screenshot is created for you and your theme is added to the live demo. You can also subscribe to the WordPress download section with RSS to be notified when a new theme is added or an old theme is updated. Lot’s of new features are in the works and the website is actively maintained.

    The WordPress ThemeViewer is a great resource and ThemeBot can be used as a supplementary site, both for finding themes and for displaying themes. It is a great way to reach more users, since many people looking for themes from various platforms use ThemeBot.

    I’ve added a forum for showcasing websites created using WordPress. A lot of users visit themebot.com to find themes for WordPress as well as other content management systems. This good place to show off your site and get feedback from other users. And, of course, it is a way to get some extra traffic to your site and boost pagerank ??

    I’ve added a system so that every user submitted theme counts for a vote for which open source platform will receive the majority of the year end donation made by ThemeBot. Currently it is 10% and hopefully that will increase as ThemeBot becomes more popular. Here are the details:

    Albums by web designer has been added. There is a tag cloud in the web layout gallery that displays a list of members who have added the most themes. Also, you can visit any member’s album from the link below the themes listed in the gallery. A bunch more upgrades coming soon.
