I am having trouble with pages being frozen after closing an image fancybox. If you click on the header image at the top of the post in order to open the full-size image, then close it, you are unable to scroll the page up and down or do much of anything. Here is an example page so you can see what I am referring to:

    https://www.explorebi…es-up-in-gallatin-county/21623

I don’t believe it has always been an issue but a more recent bug that has popped up. I am in the process of trying to find any theme/plugin conflicts but I wanted to check and see if this is a known issue that has an easier fix. Please let me know as soon as you get a chance. Thank you.

  • Hi @helgesonk the link does not work so I cannot see it live but it sounds like an inclompatible version of the jQuery library is included either by your theme or another plugin. Did you activate a plugin like jQuery Updater recently by any chance? Or change your theme?

Not sure why the link pasted in like that. Here is the correct URL:

    https://www.explorebigsky.com/inventory-down-sales-prices-up-in-gallatin-county/21623

The theme has not been changed since the site went live in 2015 and I have not added any jQuery Updater plugins.

OK, I see it’s not really ‘frozen’ but the scroll bar is removed and does not get added again on light box close.

Easy FancyBox does not remove scroll bars at all. In fact, it appears to be the swipebox script included with your theme that is doing this.

Since swipebox is already included and it’s not good for site speed to be running two scripts that effectively are meant to do the same thing, I’suggest not using fancybox and just stick to swipebox…

Thank you for looking further into this issue. I thought duplicate code might have been what was causing the issue but wasn’t sure how best to track it down. I was going to switch a dev version of the site over to a different theme to check things out but didn’t have a chance to get to it yet today. I will see if I am able to get things switched over to the swipebox version instead of fancybox.
