A website I did for somebody was hacked and I need to get it back online asap. I deleted the original folder, created a new one and database. But when I try to reinstall the duplicator package backup I get this error which I have never had before? The duplicator people replied to my question, but I do not understand this set root folder to 777? Anyone any ideas?

    Hey Jon,

Thanks for your feedback! That looks like a very old version of the installer, one that isn’t supported anymore. I would recommend updating the plugin. To get around that error you might try setting the root folder to 777 temporarily to get around the issue.

Maybe the error is because I deleted the original folder?

May be a good idea to ask your host if they can recover your site from backup so you can start over.
