• My website was hacked in 2019 and I never got around to finding a fix (it’s not in use), but decided to fix it now. I’ve checked on scanners such as Sucuri and isithacked.com and I know that the site has been redirected, and I know which hacked keywords I should search for to find the correct files to remove. But how can I find these files? Is there any way to search for these keywords in all of the wordpress files to be able to delete them?

I have very limited admin-access, I can’t add plugins, themes, or see all theme files in the admin panel, and I can’t upgrade WP etc.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Get a fresh cup of coffee, take a deep breath and carefully follow this guide. When you’re done, you may want to implement some (if not all) of the recommended security measures.

If you’re unable to clean your site(s) successfully, there are reputable organizations that can clean your sites for you. Sucuri and Wordfence are a couple.

@itsthea You will need more access privileges in order to be able to clean and secure the website.

I have FTP access, so I think I should be fine ??

I scanned the site with quttera, and it gave me a list of files that are affected. They are located in a folder called /index-files/.. any idea where I can find this folder? I can’t see it in my FTP
