Website hacked or a conflict of sorts?

When scanning with Sucuri, I’m seeing this: https://sitecheck.sucuri.net/results/www.jobsow.co.za/

Under the website details tab, I’m seeing this: Unable to properly scan your site. Site returning error (40x): HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden

You may want to contact your host about this.

Thanks for your response, looks like that is disabled on all websites at my current host. Is there anything else that I could do to resolve my issue?

I did find files on the server which I’m sure were not created by plugins and they were not placed there by me, which I’ve since deleted.

That sounds very suspicious – and just removing hacked files won’t usually fix the problem(s) or prevent it from happening again. These may be helpful:

That said, it looks like you have a caching plugin that MIGHT be causing problems?

Thanks, I’ll have a look at that too.

I’ve removed the home folder and re-uploaded it from a backup and the DB, but it is still displaying weirdly.

Should this not have solved it?

I’ve also found a few spam links in the DB.
