Website has crashed autoload_real.php on line 38 error

    I have been working with this error for 4 hours. The site has crashed and I feel like I’ve tried everything including:

    changing the name to the plugin folder
    changing the names to each plugin folder
    deleting the event calendar folder
    looking through files to see if I can figure out the error
    disabling databases in phpmyadmin
    restoring backups
    different versions of the software
    buying a js_composer license
    upgrading WordPress
    downgrading WordPress

    The only thing I get is this error.

    This occurred when I tried upgrading the site from 4.6 to 5.1.

    I am using the free version.

    Any suggestions?

    Is it possible that your site has some caching in place that is holding on to this error? As soon as you deleted The Events Calendar folder, it should not be able to throw this error anymore.

    That being said, I can see that The Events Calendar is in place here still:

    I think the first step is to clear the error and get your site working. Removing our plugin and clearing whatever cache might be present should do that.

    From there, we can help figure out what conflict was causing that error. Note: we were seeing that error for people on 4.9.0.2, but it was quickly fixed in 4.9.0.3.

    Thank you for the response. I have made every plugin I can find “-temp” the issue remains. I would love nothing more than to get the site back up and running.

    I wonder if your hosting provider might be able to help? I’m still able to access the readme at this URL:

    https://dlrcounselinggroup.com/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/readme.txt

    Since there is no “-temp” required there, the plugin is still in place as before. Something about the changes you are making are not actually effecting the plugins that are being served from your website.

    The host claims not to be using any cache settings.

    Since there is no “-temp” required there, the plugin is still in place as before. Something about the changes you are making are not actually effecting the plugins that are being served from your website.

    Does anyone have any idea how to fix? I have made no progress.
