'Website is temporarily unavailable'

  • What’s the first thing you should do when you see this?
    Frankly, I wonder about WordPress. Always something going wrong! Why do we have to maintain these things all the time?
    Can’t even log in to my dashboard: “The requested URL /wp-login.php was not found on this server.”

    The server is currently unavailable (because it is overloaded or down for maintenance). Generally, this is a temporary state

    …this is more than likely a problem with your host. You should contact them concerning this.

    This doesn’t appear to be a message generated by WordPress, I would perhaps check that your domain settings are correct as a first step, and then perhaps ask your host about this message as we can’t determine its origin.

    Always something going wrong! Why do we have to maintain these things all the time?

    For the same reason that you have to maintain your car or your house. Computers are not magic. They require upkeep.
