Website layout DESTROYED after 3.1 upgrade

It sounds like your theme (or a plugin) has some coding issues that worked with the previous version but aren’t holding up to code in 3.1. Please list what theme you’re using, and all plugins.

Our layout is not plugin dependent :\

The pages are handcoded using the Query post to create sections. We do not use any plugins to create our structure. :\

prettyprincess: If your site is using some kind of custom queries in the theme, then we can’t wave some kind of magic wand to fix your queries when we don’t know anything about them.

You have to give information in order for somebody to help you.

And if you keep posting every 7 minutes, I will ban you. Stop it.

Similar issues happend to me… luckily I backed everything up! I’m reverting to the last version!!!

It totally broke the design… the slideshow, killed the BuddyPress toolbar and I fear that’s just the tip of the iceberg!

We’re just using the query post to create categories ?? Nothing crazy. We’ve had this exact layout for a year and no issues ever.

Please see above, we’ve given information. Noone was answering and we’re desperate.

We’ve provided our website link, our list of plugins, and explained that we use the query post to create our sections.

Please tell us what else we need to provide and we will.

Why don’t you just revert to the last stable version?

You need to provide *code*. Unless we know what your queries are, we can’t debug them.

The short of is that you’re probably going to have to modify your theme somehow. Without seeing the relevant parts of the code, we don’t know enough to tell you what to do.

It seems like the Reset query isn’t working all of a sudden.

Could that be it?

We only need to see the part of the code that’s generating that section of the page. Where it’s messed up.

We simply use the Post Query structure to create multiple sections, and we reset query between each one.

Each query pulls a category.

We use the post limit ‘&posts_per_page=’ customization in each section.

AS far as we knew, all of those customizations are 100% wordpress provided – not our own PHP ideas :\

Will using the query post to create sections no longer work? We honestly thought that was pretty basic wordpress customizing ??

Found it. It’s the ‘Simple Tags’ plugin.

We went through every plugin and the site is perfect without this plugin and goes insane with the plugin activated.

?? sad. we loved and supported this plugin ??
