WEBSITE LOAD TIME IS SLOW!

  • Greetings!
    I’ve had my website for a long time and recently noticed how slow it is.

    I’m running beaverbuilder theme, on a hostgator VPS, and load time on GT Metrix is around 10 seconds.

    Looking at the ‘waterfall’ under GT Metrix, there are three things at the top slowing the website down quite a bit that I don’t know how to fix:

    I emailed beaverbuilder to get some advice and they said:
    “That’s part of WordPress core which shouldn’t be loaded on the frontend by default.”

    What do I need to do to fix this issue?

    Sure, a B is okay, but it can always be better!

    In your screenshot I notice the first two requests result in a 301 rewrite that eat up a lot of time. So, I just would not share that URL around that causes the redirects and just use the HTTPS version that it goes to.

    When I read your response, I immediately thought about a plugin I was using called 404 to 301 redirects. I disabled that plugin because I no longer need it (I had a lot of pages I deleted in the past, which was why I was using it), then retested, and the issue seems to persist.

    I emailed WPRocket, thinking it might have something to do with them.
    Do you have any advice or ideas on what might becausing those top 2 issues you mentioned?
