Website Locks Up when Updating Page

  • My site https://www.islanderpools.com has been working fine for several years using wordpress. In the last few months i have been having a lot of issues in the backend making updates.

    After updating a page or 2, the site locks up and the screen says server where page is is not responding. You can then no longer load the site at all. It usually goes away within 5 minutes. The site works perfect, it’s all associated with using the back end.

    i don’t know exactly when this occurred, but it wasn’t long after upgrading to 4.0.

    Any thoughts?

    I just deactivated all the plugins and it works fine. Does that mean that one of the plugins is incompatible and needs to go?

    If so, is there an easy way to figure out which one other than to turn one off at a time?
