dear anthony, at first thanks a lot for providing this clean theme for free!

i want to display a logo and also site title und subtitle of my webpage, the text unfortunately disappears, if the logo is loaded up…

down here i found a php-script, you’ve made for another guy, but i am too stupid to apply this to my problem ??

may you’ll have an idea, please?

alternativly i will be fine with title and subtitle with the header image inline, not underneath.

thanks in advance & regards from germany

    andreas

    Hi Andreas,

Apologies for the delayed reply. By default, if there’s no logo added within the (Site Identity panel) in the Customizer, the theme will simply display the Site Title and Tagline.

If you want to display a logo with a Site Title and/or tagline beneath it, the simplest solution would be to create an image that has both the logo and the text that you want displayed.

Alternatively, if you wanted them displayed as a separate image and text, you’d need to copy the ephemeris_the_custom_logo() function from the Ephemeris parent theme, and add it to the functions.php file in your child theme, and then modify it accordingly (don’t include the surrounding if ( ! function_exists(...)) statement when you copy the function).

    I hope this helps.
