website logo not posting with url

Unless you have a plugin forcing an og:image tag on the homepage, like https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wordpress-seo/ , Facebook will just use whatever image it wants to.

It was OK until 2 upgrades ago. Why would it have changed?

Problem is I haven’t a clue what you are talking about !!!!

I am getting this error message so no idea if this is something to do with it

Hm, ok, something is controlling your OpenGraph tags, but providing invalid ones.

WordPress doesn’t control OpenGraph tags on its own.

Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fifteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue.

One thing I daren’t do is switch themes. I have a highly customised purchased one.

Switching themes won’t destroy any customizations, and it’s a necessary troubleshooting step. You can safely switch back after running Facebook’s Debugger while using the Twenty Fifteen theme.

Just make sure to hit the “Fetch New Scrape Information” button.
