I don’t know what happened, all of a sudden my website looks completely different than it did before and I haven’t changed anything. When I log in, it still looks normal but to visitors it does not. I don’t know what to do, as it seems okay in the backend.

Can someone please help? (I’m not a professional so please don’t hit me with complicated technical terms, thanks ?? )

    Hello @stefanieouessant,

    Thank you for reaching out,

On your website, I can see some JS errors: https://postimg.cc/XrFFTRH7.

Refused to apply style from ‘…frontend-lite.min.css?… because its MIME type (‘text/html’) is not a supported stylesheet MIME type…

This means the server hosting your website is incorrectly serving the “frontend-lite.min.css” file, which should be a stylesheet (CSS file) that controls the website’s appearance. Instead, it’s being served as “text/html,” which browsers can’t understand as styling information.

To solve it, deactivate and reactivate Elementor, this can sometimes reset any glitches within the plugin. If it doesn’t help, then do the following steps:

    1. If you have any cache plugin or server cache(CDN / Browser Cache and Cookies and …), you need to clear its cache contents or disable them to see your changes. Also, in Elementor, please don’t forget to click on the regenerate all assets file and data in Elementor > Tools; and finally use hard-refreshing keys and recheck the issue.

    2. Perform a basic troubleshooting checkup method and make sure the issue is related to our theme or plugin(s). To do this, deactivate all other plugins, then activate them one by one and check for this issue. Continue doing this until you find out what product is causing a conflict with our product.

    3. Still if the above steps don’t work, you might need to contact your web host’s support team. Explain the errors and ask them to check the server configuration for MIME types on your website.

    I hope it helps.
    Best Regards

    Dear Shahin,

THANK YOU so so much! You were right, I just had to deactivate and reactivate Elementor. I can’t believe it was that easy! You saved me so much trouble.

    Best regards, Stefanie

    You’re most welcome.
I’m glad that you were able to resolve that.
