Hi – Thanks for your plugin. I had a client website migrated and the stats are now empty. Is there a way to backup and / or import statistics in the case of database issues or hosting migrations? Thanks M

    Hello,

You can copy database tables between two different websites to copy over the statistics, however this only works if both sites have the same set of post and page ID’s.

So if you are moving the same site to a different host and not migrating the entire database, you can use a tool like PHPMyAdmin to export and import all the database tables starting with wp_kokoanalytics_ to copy over your statistics.

If the two sites are actually different (with different post ID’s) then it is impossible to copy over statistics. This is because Koko Analytics uses the post ID’s internally in order to not have to store the post name and post URL repeatedly.

Hope that helps. If not, let me know please.
