• My website, TexasBizCenters.com is no longer working.

A few days ago, I tried to access the login page (/wp-login) however when I did it said that the website needed to be updated before I could login. I pressed the button to continue and it brought me to another page that said the update was complete. So again, I pressed continue. After that, it brought me back to the same page that said an update needed to be installed. It just kept going like that and never allowed me to access my website.

I tried going to my website today and now it says that the website is not found. I have no idea how to go about manually updating to see if that fixes the issue.

  • Tex, do you have a backup of your site? Also, can you FTP to your site? If so, delete the .htaccess file, then try again. If you can get to the Dashboard screen, go to Settings, then Permalinks and save. If you still can’t get to the Dashboard, try looking at the wp-config.php file and see if it’s pointed to the right MySql database. (You may need to go in through your control panel to look at your database, etc.)

That would not be a message from WordPress. You need to contact your host. They may have a backup for your site and may be able to assist you.
