I rebuilt my website on a staging site and had everything looking perfect. I then pointed my domain to the staging site and everything was perfect for a few hours. Out of nowhere it started displaying all css elements incorrectly. My gradient overlays do not show, my skewed buttons skew the text within them, sliders are not displaying and many more issues all throughout the site. I started by turning off my cache plugin, then regenerated css within elementor and have tried switching themes however none of these things have fixed the issue. Another thing about this is, when i am editing these pages everything looks normal, so it is only in live view that these elements are not correctly displayed. Can anyone help me?

    Hi there,

It sounds like there may be several potential causes for the issues you’re experiencing with your website after pointing your domain to the staging site. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issues:

    1. Check the URL paths: Make sure that all your CSS files, images, and other assets are correctly linked with the new domain. Sometimes, when moving a site from staging to live, the URLs for these assets may still be pointing to the staging domain.
    2. Inspect the browser console: Use your browser’s developer tools to inspect the console for any errors related to missing resources or JavaScript issues. This can often give you clues about what’s going wrong.
    3. Check file permissions: Ensure that the file permissions on your server are set correctly to allow the web server to access all necessary files.
    4. Review recent changes: If the issues started occurring suddenly, consider any recent changes you made to the website, including plugin updates, theme changes, or any custom code you may have added.
    5. Test on different browsers/devices: Sometimes, display issues can be browser-specific. Test your website on different browsers and devices to see if the problem persists across all of them.
    6. Review server configuration: Check your server configuration to ensure that it’s properly configured to serve CSS files and other assets correctly.
    7. Clear caches: Even if you’ve turned off your cache plugin, there might still be caching at the server level or within your browser. Clear all caches to ensure that you’re loading the latest versions of your assets.
    8. Check for conflicts: Disable all plugins and switch to a default WordPress theme to see if the issues persist. If they don’t, gradually re-enable plugins and switch back to your original theme to identify any conflicts.
    9. Contact hosting provider: If you’re still experiencing issues after trying the above steps, contact your hosting provider for assistance. They may be able to help you identify any server-side issues that could be causing the problem.

By systematically going through these steps, you should be able to identify and resolve the issues with your website.
