Website not loading

Download the file you were editing (which broke the site), fix it, and re-upload. Use FTP for this.

If you can’t fix it, download a clean copy of your theme and upload the file(s) you edited to overwrite the bad ones.

And now that the horse is out of the barn, NEVER NEVER use appearance->editor to edit PHP files because one little oops and you crash your site. Edit locally, save the changes, and upload.

Replace the file you were editing.

Or go to wp-content/themes/ folder using FTP.
Delete the theme you are using.
Go to WordPress Dashboard and re-install the theme or get a new one.

Sorry but what is FTP? I’m about as new to this as you can get and yes I now know I did a very stupid thing.

Which Webhost are you on?

You’ll have to contact your host to find out how to set up an FTP account or use the file manager from your hosting control panel.

Once you are in the file manager.
In your site’s root folder.
Go to wp-content/themes/

And delete your theme folder.
