Website not loading but the dashboard works

  • Hi, I’ve been running elsilenciero.com (hosted on godaddy) for +2 years without problems until yesterday when the main page stopped loading at all, sans the favicon. This was out of the blue, no modifications were made to the site prior.

    Now, I can still get on the dashboard normally. I disabled plug-ins but no dice. Last night I could access any page that wasn’t the index (elsilenciero.com/2011) and it would load normally, but today not even that. Any URL displays a blank page and the site seems to be up (isitdownorjustme kind of services tell me it’s up and running).

    I haven’t upgraded to 3.3 because it gives me the following message

    Could not copy file.: D:/Hosting/4960075/html/index.php

    Installation Failed

    Godaddy customer servicve told me it was something on my end, but it’s weird since I’ve done no modifications. I don’t know if it’s because of an external attack, or godaddy changed its settings or wordpress is messing with it. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

    They’re not 777 or 766, but my ftp client won’t let me change them, it just shows ‘xxx’ and this is a windows server congif on godaddy.

    Ok, I updated manually and successfully to 3.3, this leaves me with two options, an external attack or a godaddy, mess-up. Ideas?

    Problem solved, there was a default.php conflicting with index.php on the root directory. Renaming the default.php to something else solved the blank page problem. If anyone comes into this problem should look out for a default.php file conflicting. Thanks for the help.
