Website pointing to test site

Once the DNS is complete, clear your browser cache..if not that, review that wp-config.php is pointing to proper domain.

make sure you have changed database values to the new site.

Are you using custom wordpress menus ??
If yes, then try changing the link through

I installed WordPress and designed the site on a test site and then moved it across to my host.

Try reviewing Moving_WordPress. You seem to have missed 1 or more steps.
