• Hi guys, this might sound like a ridiculous question,
but is there a way to make your page be the first to appear in Google Search when typing out the website’s name? My page (thais-breton.com) currently appears only page 2 or 3, because there are heaps of other random websites on which my name appears before that.
Thank you so much in advance for your help!

it does for me, try clearing your browser’s cache and deleting your search history too so you attack google with a blank slate…

    It did for me too

    Hey guys!
I don’t know what you typed but it’s not working for me no matter how many times I reset my safari. What I mean is that when I type “thais breton” or even “thais-breton” in Google search, the website appears on the 2nd page only..

i think we may have all been searching for thais-breton.com…

all you can really do to make your site move up the google listings is make sure it’s full of content (fresh content too, keep adding new stuff), use an SEO plugin (SEO by Yoast is very very good) and stuff your posts full of relevant tags.

unless you want to buy your way to the top as google will happily take your cash in exchange for a good ranking! ??

on such a specific search phrase, I think that you should be able to improve your SEO. However, it isn’t as straightforward as you might think as @jack randal indicates. Content is the key. Post stuff. Use your search phrases in the content and use a good SEO plugin to strengthen those search phrases. Fresh, relevant content is always going to help you. Especially words. Research SEO and video. I found this book helpful: https://buildingfindablewebsites.com/

    Go to https://www.google.com/webmasters/
Set up your account, read and follow their advice.

They will give you a tracking code. They also have a file you can place in your root directory with FTP instead of editing the WP files.
