Website slow – Some Pictures not loading

  • My website is [ redundant link removed ]. Overall, my website has slowed down. I now notice that on my recipe index only about 50% of the page and photos are loading. Can you direct me on any changes or enhancements I need to make to improve the download speed and help with some of my photo’s not loading at all?

  • Hello,

    Can you try turning off your caching plugins and then check if the images are loading or not? (Litespeed cache, jetpack or any plugin you have)

    And, if that does not work, then try turning off lazy loading options from your plugins. (Smush).

    I deactivated Jetpack, Jetpack Boost and WP Optimize. That seems to have fixed the issue of the photos not completing loading.  As far as general performance, should I delete these plugins?  Do I need anything to support caching over and above WordPress?  Did you find any other issues that could be hampering performance?

    you can try opposite actually, you can see if the site still works fine after you turn off lazy loading option in smush plugin and then try turning on Caching plugins.
    Since caching is a big factor when increasing performance.
