• Hi all, I am working on this website (www.outdoorbagstore.com) and I am having concern on the Website Loading Speed.

    My website average loading speed is around 8-10 seconds on my laptop but it is showing around 1~3 second on GTMetric (https://gtmetrix.com/reports/www.outdoorbagstore.com/CjimDXaS) and 5~6 second on Pingdom (https://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/emV68A/https://www.outdoorbagstore.com).

    I tried seeking advise from GTMetric and they told this:
    “The waterfall report here shows that not all the assets on the site are
    loading before the GTmetrix engine is cut off:
    https://gtmetrix.com/reports/outdoorbagstore.com/f1P9aQnY#waterfall
    Look for whatever comes after the last request in your code.”

    But I am not sure what does that mean.

    Additional information:
    1. Most images are optimized

    2. Active plugin (Autoptimize, BJ Lazy Load, Contact Form 7, Facebook Like Box, Google Tag Manager for WordPress, Heartbeat Control, Ithemes Security Pro, Monarch Plugin, Nextend Facebook Connect, Ninja Popups, Postman SMTP, Social Coupon for WooCommerce, WooCommerce, WooCommerce Cart Reports, WooCommerce MOLPay, WooCommerce Product Search, WooCommerce Recommendation by Graphflow, WooCommerce Table Rate Shipping, WP Super Cache, WP-Optimize, Yoast SEO Premium, Yoast WooCommerce SEO)

    3. Inactive Plugin (BackupBuddy, Coming Soon Page & Maintenance Mode by SeedProd, P3(Plugin Performance Profiler), Regenerate Thumbnails, TinyMCE Advanced, WooCommerce Conditional Shipping and Payments,WooCommerce Dynamic Pricing, WooCommerce Product CSV Import Suite, WP Smush)

    4. Using Flatsome Theme version 2.7.6

    5. Free plan on CloudFlare

    I am using ShareHosting from HostSo so I am having little control on server’s side as I understand.

    Can anyone help me on this?
    Thanks first

  • @kenong,

    It means your server is so slow, that even GTMetrix (etc) can’t complete their waterfall speed tests of all your site resources.

    You’ve overloaded your site with plugins on a cheap shared hosting plan, there is no way to make that fast. You need a proper VPS server with enough CPU/RAM and decent setup (I recommend LEMP stack) and reduce your site resources.

    CloudFlare nor any other tool can “fix” a slow server.

    You use shared hosting but have install to much plugin. i think you must reduce the plugin,, like delete inactive plugin

    hi all, thank you very much for your responses.

    @jesse,
    thank you for your suggestion and I will have a look into LEMP stack and some other hosting option.

    @shirosora02,
    thank you for your help, but I am not sure about am I using too many plugins.
    Because I tried to activated all my plugins and tested by P3 before and it seems like all those plugins only taking around 2seconds (Total) so can assuming those plugins are ok?

    Thank you for all your help and sorry for the delay in reply.
