I have suffered from the recent hack meaning my page was redirecting to spam. Not happy at all as I have likely lost business and I can see it has impacted my Google ranking. I expect more having paid for your mobile app, not good at all developer.

I uninstalled the WP Live Chat Support plugin and deleted the files for it. This fixed the desktop version of the website, but the mobile version still directs to the spam and is infected.

I have restored my website back to March 2019 using UpdraftPlus, however the problem persists and mobile still redirects to spam.

Please assist in a fix for this ASAP.

Managed to fix this accessing the htaccess and index files. Cost me four hours of my evening with the security floors with this plugin, and a hit to the business and Google ranking. Totally unacceptable.

@tommarvellous if you don’t mind me asking, what were you able to figure out with the index and hta’s? Im on hour 5 of digging our site out of this mess..

    Hi there,

Our sincerest apologies for the continued trouble experienced.

Please do feel free to reach out to us directly here: https://wp-livechat.com/contact-us/ – As this will allow us to get some of our developers to assist you with removing any remaining issues from your website.

We are eager to assist you with this.

As I posted before, you must never ever install any plugin on your production site without first testing it “offline on a local server” — without connection to internet. So this way you can block and trap any vulnerabilities, look all over plugin and strip out any suspect code, and plug vulnerabilities. It shame many people just install plugins on their live sites without doing forensic look at the code. Huge mistake in this age of malware and exploits. Take your security in your own hands and trust no plugin.
