Website suddenly gone really slow

  • My website has suddenly gone really slow. It was loading fine (3 seconds) for months but today it suddenly became extremely slow (it now takes 14 seconds to load!). I don’t think I changed anything significant on the site before it happened.

    My theme needs an update, but that’s been the case for a while. I haven’t updated it because I’ve made tons of changes to my theme without making a child theme.

    I contacted GoDaddy (my webhost) and they said there were no issues with my server.

    Anyone have any idea why it’s so slow?
