• I have a huge problem with this plugin as how they set up from two different options which in business is called a “bait and switch” kind of operation and should be changed. I think the plugin itself is well done but the problem is how it is downloaded from two different paths
1.st Path is a routine search of “forums” can you reach them on the front page of Google which is normal But it shows you a monthly cost and a 14 day free trial (nothing unusual) However
    2. Its the other path I am complaining about as when you do the same search for a “Forums” plugin from the backend Dashboard for the same plugin There is nothing said about monthly fees associated with this plugin OR a 14 day free trial! In fact there is nothing said at all about costs for this plugin. What happens is after you start using the plugin you get shut down after 14 days and thats when you find out there was a trial period. This kind of practice is totally against business law in the US. How they think they can make it right is to give you an additional 14 days free trial. This is unethical and wrong and should be stopped

  • Hi there,

Thanks for your feedback! We’re definitely not trying to do any type of bait and switch here. In the plugin setup instructions, we ask that you create an account on our website. Our pricing information is displayed in the main navigation of our website and when you create your account, it also immediately states that it’s a free trial.

Although, if you thought it was free, then of course it’s not clear enough! Again, thanks for your feedback. We’ll be updating our wordpress information page on our website to make it clear that we’re a paid service.

I’m afraid not fellas here is a link where I was taken to when I down loaded the plugin and nowhere does it even ask for a donation or state that there any fees associated with this plugin. Not even in the plugins listing page does it say there is. Ok maybe I am a little harsh with the “Bait & switch” terminology and I apologize for that but what else can you call it?
Now if there were a free use category at first and then an upgraded pro one later then I would probably have download it until I was ready to upgraded to pro later after getting more members. However this is not the way you did this Take a look at my link and you will see how misleading it is. https://art-faux.com/wp-admin/plugin-install.php?tab=plugin-information&plugin=website-toolbox-forums&TB_iframe=true&width=600&height=550

    Hi,

I understand. Thanks again for the feedback.

Based on your feedback, pricing information has been added to the WordPress plugin page.

On the new version of the WordPress plugin page, the FAQ items are shown on the main plugin page. So we’re waiting for that to be updated by WordPress. For some reason they aren’t showing all the FAQs on the main page yet.

We’ll also be adding it to our WordPress landing page shortly. Our designers are working on it.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.
