    Hi Roger & Devs:

    After learning from Google Adsense of future GDPR compliance rules staring January 2024. Beginning January 16, 2024, Google will require all publishers serving ads to EEA and UK users to use a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP). You can use any Google-certified CMP for this purpose, including Google’s own consent management solution. If you are interested in using Google’s consent management solution, start by setting up your GDPR message. ( I couldn’t figure that out at all.)

    I found Complianz—I think I installed it correctly. After one acceptance click it doesn’t show up again.

    HOWEVER—the website traffic is down about 80%—–Is that normal when it is first installed. With the “free” version it has to be for the whole world….I don’t have any problems when I visit a website—-Any ideas?

    I also installed OMGF for Google fonts per your suggestion and it’s loading from the CDN—It seems to have speeded up the website in general.

    Webpatest shows Complianz running at end—https://www.webpagetest.org/result/230827_BiDcBV_9RT/ Is this something that after a while the users will click through?

    Hello @wimonews,

    The free version of Complianz allows you to select a single privacy law/targeting region to apply this configuration ‘worldwide’, i.e. for all visitors of your site.

    I assume that your question mainly concerns the decrease in Statistics data in “JetPack Stats”.

    As per your current configuration in Complianz, these would only be loaded after a visitor provides their consent in the Cookie Banner; in other words, they now have to “opt-in” to this Statistics tracking.

    If you do not want to obtain consent for the JetPack Statistics, you can change this by disabling the JetPack integration under Complianz -> Integrations -> Plugins.

    I shut off the Jetpack part just now. That seems logical.

    However even Google Adsense shows page views way down about 80-90% less than the previous week. How can I tell if visitors are opting of of Adsense completely?

    Hi @wimonews,

    One method that comes to mind would be to check the opt-in/acceptance rate of your Complianz banner with the A/B testing functionality.

    In addition, currently you are using the “standard” Complianz banner, but as you intend to serve (personalized) ads with Google AdSense, you would most-likely have to enable the TCF integration in Complianz (as you’ll have to comply with additional requirements, as per the guidelines of the AdSense framework).
