“website trumps email”

  • Not always …….
    On some WP sites it does, on others it does not.
    Complete the site part with either starting “https://” or “www.” and I see this;
    “Error: please fill the required fields (name, email).”
    Any clues as to why ?
    On last night’s build, I get that error too.

  • u mean, even if u fill all the fields correctly still teh blog ask u to complete the fields?

    Not all fields.
    I’m getting increasingly wary of entering my email address on any blog – WP or not, and prefer instead to put my domain.
    The WP comments suggests that entering just your name and domain will be okay, but it isn’t.
    So website is not trumping email.
    As an afterthought – can I state on my comments that all email addresses are encrypted and not able to be harvested by spammers ? (On those pages, I am happy to enter an email address).
