• Hello,

I recently switched servers after my old one had issues.

I was unable to perform a export and import, but had access to all my files.

The site is up and running. But, it is not visible from with in the local network.

I have a friend helping me and pushing me to figure out how to fix it. But he is only available once a week or so, so I look for outside help too for more hints to figure things out:)

All other websites are working fine on the server. Only this one is having an issue.

    The ideas he presented are:
did you connect to the new ip? is the ip for the websites is set to *?

    What might he mean?

If you have an idea on what to look for, please share, will be grateful.

I am not a linux guru, but I am taking very small baby steps to get there. I know some about wordpress, but am always taking baby steps to get better!

    Thanks for any ideas.

    Thanks

    Joseph

You need to set up an address for https://www.eco2.ca/ on the INTERNAL dns for your LAN that points to the machine serving that site.

    Thanks Steve,

I have heard about this. But, I am do not know how to do this.

    But, one piece of information.

The LAN has not changed at all, expect for the server that died. I replaced it with a new one and changed all the port forwarding to keep it accessible to the outside world.

But, as the DNS, I am not quite sure where this would be done.

The server with the websites? All the other websites work fine, except this one, so the DNS must be configured right fr the other 3 websites, but only this one has an issue.

    Thanks

    Joseph

This is a LAN networking problem, not a WP one. You need to find someone to help with that as it’s outside the scope of this forum.
