• Hello,

If similar question was already answered, please rederect me to that post.

I want to create WP website which will contain one interactive image. No more, no less.
Interactivity of an image can be achieved with plugin Draw attention. But I dont know how to have website that will contain only one image, nothing else. I have tried a few themes, but I cant get rid of other elements (posts, words, etc).

I would appreciate advice on this matter. Please keep in mind that I dont have much experience creating websites, so simplest methods are be prefered.

    Thanks,
    Lynx

There isn’t a theme distributed on www.ads-software.com that just contains 1 image, so the alternative would be to learn to modify a theme. Let us know which theme you have chosen and we can start to advise how to modify it.

There is no plugin on the WordPress.og repository named “draw”.

Here is link to plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/draw-attention/

As for theme, I am currently using “GeneratePress”. It doesnt matter basicaly, as what I want to achieve is this:

When you get to the website, you see one (interactive) image of a city. That is it. When you hover over districts or click on them (havent yet decided), districts get heighleitet and additional pop up windows displays some details.

So that is the goal. Thanks for any advice on my path to create this.

I see. The author of that theme you’re using is quite good at responding to support topics, so I recommend you post here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/theme/generatepress#postform

You just need to ask how you could create a blank page. The answer will probably involve:

    1. Creating a Child Theme: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Child_Themes
    2. Creating your own template file

It would be great if you could get started on creating a Child Theme – let us know in your new thread when you have done that.

Andrew, thanks for advice on how to do this. As things stand now, I will probably have to create a new child theme and then modify it to fit my purpose.

I will also contact author of generatepress theme and update you here on progress I am making. It will be an interesting challange.
