Website won't load in the U.S.

  • I’m at my wits end with this mystery so would be very grateful if anyone can crack the case!

    My website won’t load, it says ‘Website not available’ and timing out for a number of people in different states in the U.S (although not all-some can see it and one woman said she can see it at work but not at home). My host (Register1.net) has tried a few things but says there is nothing wrong. They say they aren’t blocking any web traffic.

    Any ideas?? Thank you!

    Without knowing your website url it’s difficult for me to try visit your site.

    There are services out there that check if your website is down, such as Just Down For Me, this can be helpful to see if your site is visible.

    If you’re using caching services as a CDN that could affect your sites visibility as it updates with a cached version of your site.

    The site always appears to be OK in the UK but does not load for several of my clients across the US.

    Could one or more of my plugins be stopping the website to load for them? I am using WP Super Cache plugin but my site was not visible to some people before I added the plugin.

    It’s hard to test as I’m not experiencing any problem loading. It appears only to be a problem in the US.
