• Starting this past weekend, my WordPress site began running EXTREMELY SLOWLY… to the point it is taking almost a minute to load and edit certain pages. Also, when opening certain pages a “this page is not available” message comes up. If the page is refreshed a few times, it will then load.

HELP! I teach a 6 week class from this website and cannot teach the class properly if it is not working!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Try three things:

    1. Optimize the number of CSS and JS fetches with the plugin “autoptimize”.

    2. Cache your site with Comet Cache.

    3. Install Jetpack and enable it’s image CDN so you can serve more content in parallel.

    Also, the pages are saying
“This page isn’t working FULLforLife.com is currently unable to handle this request HTTP Error 503”
    and
“This page isn’t working. If the problem continues contact the site owner HTTP Error 400”

I suspect your server is overloaded. Contact GoDaddy support, though they will almost certainly tell you it’s a WordPress problem. ??

I don’t know how to do any of the three things you’ve suggested. I’m so sorry.. can you speak in middle school terms for me. I run the website on my own but I don’t know how to do any coding or anything. I know how to install a plugin but not activate it. I don’t know how to Cache my site.

Give your host (GoDaddy) a call and let them know of your issues…

Your site is being served by a web proxy called Apache Traffic Server so it should be reasonably fast.

It could be a bad neighbor on a shared host behind that proxy or the proxy might just need to be cleared so it can refresh.

It might also be you’re reaching the limits of that hosting account.

I did a rudimentary scan of your site and didn’t see any problems but the proxy could hide some of that. It did load right fast for me.

    >> can you speak in middle school terms for me <<

I will speak to you as an adult.

Go to Plugins->Add New. Search for each of the plugins I mentioned. Install, activate, and configure them.

With respect to jetpack, see https://jetpack.com/support/site-accelerator/
