    Hi there

Google Analytics 4 does not currently support AMP pages like Web Stories, so this is expected. We will let users know when something changes about this. You can also follow this GitHub issue for updates.

In the meantime, we recommend using Google Search Console’s reporting and existing UA to monitor performance of your stories.

Curious, how have you set this up? On the settings page we only allow entering a UA tracking ID.

Hi! About this, the web story plugin needs the AMP plugin related installed on WordPress installation? I was try to test the GA4 metrics, but my GA4 metric account don’t show any views (because my portal was full AMP pages). I tried to choose the “Transition Mode” today to test this, and in next months i probaby deactivate the AMP support on traditional pages.

No, you don’t need the AMP plugin. But since Web Stories are powered by AMP under the hood, GA4 does not work for stories. So it’s expected to not have any GA4 views. You will need to use classic UA for now for stories.

If you have more questions about your unique setup, I recommend opening your topic so we can better assist you.

    Hi there @meghnabhati ,

Web Stories for WordPress version 1.33.0 has been released which will allow you to use GA4 by entering your GA4 measurement ID (e.g., G-12345) in the Web Stories Settings > Analytics section.

This topic will be marked as resolved. If you experience any issues with the Web Stories plugin pleases create a  new topic. If you need any help migrating from Universal Analytics to Google Analytics 4, please consult the Analytics help center.
