Hi, we have a problem with the plug in. We have been using it for over a year and until the first week of January everything worked without any problems. Then the weekly timers ( the ones that are supposed to show parts of the article by day) stopped working. Always showing everything.
We use it to show the day’s submissions which change precisely according to the day of the week.

I am attaching Monday and Tuesday to see what it may be depending on

    01-Monday
    Hide the content on 2023-02-01 @ 9:30am until 2023-12-31 @ 11:30pm.
This rule will be active until 2023-12-31.
All times are in the Europe/Rome timezone. [timed-content-rule id=”8550″]…[/timed-content-rule].

    02-Closed on Tuesdays
    Show the content on 2023-02-01 @ 12:00am until 2023-12-31 @ 11:30pm.
This rule will be active until 2023-12-31.
This rule will be inactive on the following dates: 2023-12-31.
All times are in the Europe/Rome timezone. [timed-content-rule id=”6675″]…[/timed-content-rule].

    Hourly timers like this one

    lunch only
    Show the content on 2023-02-01 @ 10:30am until 2023-01-31 @ 2:00pm.
This rule will be active for 54 recurrences.
All times are in the Europe/Rome timezone. [timed-content-rule id=”6176″]…[/timed-content-rule].

    are working perfectly

    Just a few tips:

    1. Always use “Show projected dates/times” in the rule editor to check the times calculated based on the rule before you use it.
    2. A rule which should be active on one specific day of the week must repeat “weekly” and then use the desired day of week for which it should apply – of course the first date of the rule should match this.
    3. A rule which should only be active for one day must not end longer than 24 hours – e.g. start at 2023-02-01 00:00 and end at 2023-02-01 23:59 but not later – otherwise a single rule application will be active longer than 24 hours. If want to have this rule active in the next week as well you define this in the “Repeating pattern” and not in the end date. It does not matter, if the rule is not valid at 2023-10-01 any longer. If you tell the plugin to repeat the rule until 2999-01-01 it will apply again and again and again until 2999-01-01.

I think it's set up like this
    Hide the content on 2023-02-01 @ 12:30am until 2023-12-31 @ 11:30pm.
This rule will be active until 2023-12-31.
This rule will be inactive on the following dates: 0.
All times are in the Europe/Rome timezone.
These are the dates for Tuesday's example

as I repeat until January everything was fine

You still have a rule which is much too long!

    See for yourself:

    Scheduled dates/times
    2023-02-01 00:30 +0100 2023-12-31 23:30 +0100

This means: one single(!) occurance will start at 2023-02-01 but will end at 2023-12-13 – nearly one year later!

This is, because you defined the rule itself to cover nearly one year. But what you want is only one day for the rule itself and then repeat that rule for either many times or for a long time. But the rule itself must not be longer than one day.

So change the rule like this:

    Hide the content on 2023-02-01 @ 12:30am until 2023-02-02 @ 11:30pm.

This is important – not longer than one day! Just try that and see for yourself the difference in the calculated values.

Thank you very much for the support, the error was so macroscopic that I didn’t realize it.
    All solved!
Thanks again, and if you happen to be in Italy, we’ll expect you for lunch!

About the website – I think you mean https://locandaveneta.it and not https://www.locandavemeta.it. I noted the address and hopefully I can manage to visit you once.

I have another problem, which I’m sure I don’t understand how to do.
As you know (we invited you) we have a restaurant, and on Tuesdays we are closed.
I created a timed-content-rule for lunch (which shows precisely the menu for the day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and it works
a timed-content-rule for Tuesday closing from 8 to 11 p.m. that shows the ‘Today closed for rest’ Script and it works
Now I have created a timed-content-rule that on Tuesday hides the menu of the day. But can I put 2 ‘nested’ timed-content-rule ? because when I do this and put for 2 times [/timed-content-rule]
one always turns out to be visible.
    is one enough ?
    Thanks

Sorry, but nested rules are not possible.

    (@capzicco2)

Hi, well, you won’t believe it, but timed-content-rules also work nested (at least 2 in a row, don’t know if it works with more) just remove a [/timed-content-rule] from the context.

    working example

[timed-content-rule id=”6675″] (shows only on Tuesdays)

We look forward to seeing you tomorrow!

    [/timed-content-rule]

    [timed-content-rule id=”6176″] (show every day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.)
    [timed-content-rule id=”9188″] (don’t show on Tuesdays).
    §§§

    March 6 menu

Fresh pasta with almonds & arugula
    Gnocchi with meat sauce
Soup of the Day or Pasta with Tomato

    Pulled Pork
    Stewed Cuttlefish
Mozzarella & Tomato or Beef Steak

    Mixed Salad, Garden Side Dishes.

    [/timed-content-rule]

Just be aware that this is not tested and may not work in the future, depending on how WordPress deals with shortcodes.
