weekend wasted – too complex

I was looking for a cheap and possibly simple crowdfunding solution although what I really need is just donations for some social functions here in our village. This package is very ungainly and does not really allow even the wordpress knowlegeable to figure out how it works easily. Support of the free version is none-existent and all the good reviews, are about the paid versions, so I dont really understand why they should be relevant here.
Also: if an expensive paid-for package takes a super expert to install and on top will cost you additionally 1000 dollars to get it to run and a long time too, why give it a good review? Obviously the developers failed to make it work in a stramlined, easy to follow fashion or supply docs that allow easy installation.
