Weekly, Monthly and custom period backups

Thanks for writing to us here with your suggestions. Unfortunately, we do not have any plans to change the schedule time on our plugin. However, I would recommend you to write here as an idea. Based on the popularity of such requests we will consider implementing in the future.

Have you included any log tables on your WPTC backups? You can use the exclude option to exclude any unwanted tables on your WordPress database.

To improve the speed of your backups, kindly enable exec function on your server so WPTC will use Shell DB dump instead of PHP dump which will be much faster.

Yeah, we have excluded some tables, and we are currently optimizing the database to make it more compact. Anyway, we will suggest this change on uservoice^^

Can we check if WPTC is using the Shell dump instead of the PHP dump? I don’t see anything related on the information tab. How could we check which method is being used?

Hi,

WPTC, by default, will make use of the Shell dump if exec function is enabled.
Please go to the WPTC plugin Settings -> Network -> Disabled PHP Functions.
Here make sure that you do not see the exec function.

There is no “disabled PHP functions” info on the Network tab. There is only a server communication test button.

If you meant to say “Information” tab, this is the shown info: (nothing about exec functions neither disabled PHP functions)
