Weight based shipping

    On our new website selling chocolate bars, for the time being we are starting with only 4 items, and one in multiple weights of 200g and 450g. The rest three are all 200g only.

    For the shipping, we would like to implement the costs calculation based on the product weight as:

    • Shipping costs starting at ￡8.00 for purchase up to 500gms,
    • after 500 gms, the costs increase by ￡4.00 for every 500 gms.
    • Once the cart value reaches ￡120.00 (or ￡100.00 as we decide), delivery is free, ie Free shipping over ￡100.

    Please note, 200gm Bars, when customers order 9 (keeping ￡120.00 for free delivery), then the Free Delivery should kick in as the price exceeds ￡120.00. Similarly, when 6 Large Bars are added (ie 450 gms), the Free Delivery should kick in. On the first scenario, when you have say 8 Bars, the weight is 1600 gms, shipping charge is ￡20.00, but when its 9 Bars, the shipping charge is Free. Likewise the large bars, the shipping charges needs to be incremented and once it reaches ￡120.00, shipping is Free.
