Weight rate per each do not work

This plugin has so much potential, one line of definition would resolve a table full of weight x price steps… if it worked as expected.
I have perused your explanation on https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/weight-based-calculations-question/ but concluded it doesn’t make sense to be rounding up to the next break. This way it will never work as expected.
In my scenario weight and price breaks:
0 – 0.49kg $20
0.5 – 0.9kg $30
1 – 1.49kg $35
etc 0.5kg increments at $5 up to
4.5 – 5kg $65If my product weighs 0.4kg I expect to charge $20. If it is 0.5kg then $30. Etcetera.
My setting has Base price $20, every 0.5kg extra $5, for weight over 0.5kg. But no matter what I try the calculation is not correct, even if I turn on/off the setting charge over 0.5kg.
