Weighting by category

I am considering purcahsing this plugin for a client requirement, however before I do, I just want to be absolutely sure that it is what they need. For example, we have the following:

Category 1
Category 2
Category 3
Category 4

And would like the search results to do something like this:

Category 3
Category 2
Category 1
Category 4

Basically we would like certain product categories to display at the top of the search, and things like blog/news items and other product categorys to be displayed further down the results. Is this possible with the premium plugin?
