• This is kind of an Adsense question, but more related to coding, I guess.

I recently began displaying Adsense ads on my blog. They are all functioning normally, with the exception of the front page sidebar.

A skyscraper ad script code has been placed in the sidebar.php file of my blog. The ad displays normally on all but one page, as indicated below:

However, the ad in question will not display on my front page. What is puzzling is the fact that it’s one piece of code in one template location. How can the code display the ad properly on all but one page?

On the front page, all I have is:

I’m completely stumped. This makes no sense. Any thoughts on what the problem might be?

    Anyone?

If it helps, I’ll paste the code for my sidebar.php file. The script in question is at the bottom in bold.

[Moderated: Too much code. Please consider placing the code in a text file on your site with a link here -or- use a pastebin service such as https://wordpress.pastebin.ca. Thanks!]

Why are you using iframe to display the Google ad? Is your theme widgetized?

Can you post your sidebar.php code at pastebin and give the link?

The theme is not widgetized. I’m not sure about the iframe thing. Not very familiar with that.

Here is a link to the sidebar.php code.

    Thanks again for any help.

    No thoughts?

How many google ads are displayed on your front page? no matter how many ads units you place on a page, a maximum of three will show. without seeing your front page code, that’s the only logical answer i can think of.

also, someone mentioned that your ad unit is in an iframe. if it’s an empty iframe with just the ad code, it could be that google is just not displaying the ad because there is no ad to display because you have it on an empty page.

Removing one ad did it. That was the problem… too many ads. Thanks, t3ch33!

Now if I could only get some relevant Google ads to show up! Ha!
