• This is the first negative review I’m giving to a product, because the whole attitude of the author regarding the support is hard to be comprehended.

We bought the plugin about 2 years ago and today we wanted to use the function of exporting the invoices – since we have many at this time. To our surprise, the plugin does NOT export the invoices. When you select them all, it only exports one. Not two, not five, but one.
We tried a lot of methods, we also looked into our code, to check if there is anything which might prevent the plugin to work correctly. Nothing was found.
We addressed this issue to the author, who responded that our support period ended – which is true – and thus we need to buy the product again, because the last version contains some updates and stuff.

Now, when we bought the product, it advertised that the export function is a part of the features. If that function would’ve been a part of an update, we would have understand it, but no, the function should have work at the moment we bought the plugin.

What WE DON’T understand is WHY we have to buy the product again in order to use a function which should’ve been available from the beginning – as the author advertised?
We know how the whole procedure works, but this kind of attitude, refusing to help unless we pay again, it’s beyond understanding.
We all need money, true, but this kind of attitude looks like extortion: “If you want your product to work correctly, buy it AGAIN.”

    Pity.
Even we wanted to update the plugin, we will look for another product.

    Hello!

I am sorry that you feel this way but is not an attitude. The reason you need to renew (and this was explained to you) is so you can have access to the latest version which has all the new fixes and changes that the plugin has.

The version of the plugin that you have should be more than 3 years old (you mentioned 2 years but according to our data it should be more than 3 years old, if I am wrong I apologize).

If that feature doesn’t work now it doesn’t mean that it didn’t work 3 years ago when you still had access to updates and in fact it most likely worked since otherwise you or another user would have reported the issue and we would have fixed it when you still had access to updates.

Unfortunately, things change, and this is true for every single plugin in WordPress. Just to give you an example, when PHP 8 was released (which has many breaking changes), hundreds (or maybe thousands, sorry I can’t give you an accurate estimate) had to be updated to be compatible with it.

That’s why we advise to always use the latest version of the plugin (and again this is the same for every single plugin in WordPress). You can go ahead and use an old version but with time that version might not work as before (for the reasons explained previously) that is the risk you take when you don’t update the plugin.

From your comment, it sounds like what you want is either a plugin that is 100% functional without updates, doesn’t matter how many years have passed, or have access to updates and support for life.

Unfortunately, no one can create a plugin that is 100% functional forever without updates. And we don’t have lifetime updates and support plans, very few plugins have those kinds of plans since supporting and updating the plugin costs time and resources.

I am sorry that your expectations were not met.

    Regards!
