weird behavior with Classic Editor

  • Hi

    when i format drop-down than choose “code”, no popup appears so i can insert a code or something.

    all i see is a grey tiny box in the editor body.

    i have disabled all plugins but still the same

    also when i tried to install and activate “Advanced TinyMCE Configuration”

    i get an error message:

    The Advanced TinyMCE Configuration plugin requires attention: you are running TinyMCE 4.0 (WordPress 3.9 or newer) but the settings for the editor have not been updated. This can result in errors while editing, or the editor may fail completely.

    so, what seems to be the case?

    Hi

    it is fine now after i found out i was clicking on “code” dialog instead of “source code” dialog.

    however, both dialogs looks exactly the same which it was confusion.
