    Hi,
I just got the message from someone who is adding events to the event calendar that there is some unexpected behaviour. I tested it and got the same results. This is what happens:

    – if I make a new event the starting time is already filled in, with the time of the last event
    – this time field suddenly also has options for seconds, which we don’t need, and can’t remember having before
    – if I fill in the entire event (including the correct time, with the seconds at 00) and save as concept I do not yet get the new links of delete, preview, etc
    – to get these links I first have to click the link to continue editing the event, in my memory I did not have to do this before…
    – after saving as concept and continuing editing the seconds have disappeared from the time field

Please let me know if this is some bug. We for now can work around it, but it is strange…

    1. That’s default behavior. The date/time fields always default to whatever you last entered. Useful for adding sequences of events, and any other value is basically random.
    2. What browser are you using? The time input uses the time input field, which varies widely by browser. My Calendar ignores seconds values in that field, because they aren’t useful, but some browsers will have them, anyway.
    3. I don’t recall changing anything about how drafts are saved, but if I did it was quite a long time ago. My Calendar defaults to saving and starting a new event when you’re entering new events. That might change in the future, though.

    Hi, thanks for your reply!

    1. okay, no problem!
    2. the browser I use is Firefox for Mac
but looks like we can work around by just adding 00 in the second field and then after saving it disappears.
    3. I always prefer to preview before publishing, and therefore it is a bit annoying you have to do multiple clicks before it is possible to preview. Not more than slightly annoying, but I would prefer it if the preview button was available from the start, like it is with posts and pages. Is this something you might consider?
