• I have a document in Google Documents that I want to upload to my wordpress blog that has essential formatting (italics, bolds, etc). I paste it to Open Office first to edit it, and it keeps the formatting there still.

I go to post it into WordPress using the icon that lets me post things from a Word Document. In the preview window, it shows it all properly formatted, italics in the right places, etc. But as soon as I hit enter, it removes the spaces after everything in italics! What’s up with that?

Can somebody please play with it and see if they get the same results?

I’m using Comic Easel and posting it as a “comic post,” but it does the exact same thing with regular wordpress blog posts.

I can not NOT use the “paste from Word’ because the font becomes all wrong and the formatting is inconsistent with the rest of my website.

Please help me find out what’s wrong!!!

  • If you want to preserve the fonts and layouts in your document, export is a tagged pdf in OpenOffice and then upload it WordPress as an attachment.

I dont want to upload it as an attachment. It’s essential it goes with the theme of the rest of my site. Any help?

    Still need help with this.
When I paste things directly from Google Documents into the “paste from word” option, it shows the font with formatting. But when I click okay, the formatting goes away.
