I go to look at my stats in the site kit part of my dashboard. They show me webpages that don’t exist, that I never created, and which link back to an old Weekly website that I don’t use. That is so weird. I worry that I may have been hacked. This is the message I get when I click on the link:

    Detailed Page Stats
It looks like the URL https:***/***/***.weebly.com is not part of this site or is not based on standard WordPress content types, therefore there is no data available to display. Visit our support forums or Site Kit website for support or further information.

    Thanks for your help

    Hi there @alexedgar,

Thanks for reaching out. If the error is showing some URLs that are no longer part of your site, but these URLs did exist previously then I don’t suspect your site has been compromised or hacked. The information shown within your Site Kit dashboards are pulled directly from your Search Console, Analytics and other Google service accounts, which is why you may see such URLs referencing your old Weebly site. As these URLs are not part of your new WordPress setup it’s normal that Site Kit may not have more detailed information on these URLs, as they are not part of your WordPress setup.

We have more information on this specific error available on the plugin website.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above. I’m also happy to check your Site Kit information if you wish to share, to see if I can determine anything unusual with your setup, or a plugin that can change your site URLs or result in the notice you’re encountering.

Hi James, thanks for your help!

That’s just the thing. Those sub-pages – (“sub-pages” Autocorrect, not supposes!) don’t exist, and have never existed. They are recent content.

The Weebly website is an old one. I stopped using that domain name and it got taken over by some dodgy Russians years ago, much to my horror. Most likely to take advantage of it’s good SEO ranking.

So I create a blog in WordPress in 2022. But in site kit, that shows as ***/blog/old-domain-name-being-reused-by-dodgy-Russians.weebly.com. How can this be? And what do I do? It doesn’t look good to me. O.O

    Hi @alexedgar,

Thanks for the update. If you want to share your Site Health information I’d be happy to check for anything unusual on your site.

Note also that if the URLs you’re reporting are within the “Most popular content” table, they will be eventually be removed should the URLs no longer exist. Feel free to share a screenshot of where you find these URLs when sharing your Site Health information, using a service such as JumpShare or Imgur.

As we didn’t receive a response I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to open a new support topic if you continue to encounter issues, or reopen this topic and we’d be happy to assist.
