Weird trp-gettext error

    When using another language, woocommerce errors are shown weirdly.

    This is the error that shows:

    If not, a screenshot could help.

    You can also try to turn on Filter Gettext wrapping from post content and title from TranslatePress advanced settings.

    This is a list of some WordPress caching plugins:

    • WP Rocket
    • Cache Enabler
    • Comet Cache
    • W3 Total Cache
    • WP Super Cache
    • WP Fastest Cache
    • Hyper Cache

    If you have any of those or something similar activated , please try disabling it and let me know if it makes a difference.

    Unfortunately no, I don’t have any of those plugins so that’s not the cause.

    Hello,

    Can you please visit TranslatePress -> Settings -> Advanced

    Then, enable these features 1 by 1 in this order and try to see if it makes a difference.

    1. Fix missing dynamic content
    2. Disable dynamic translation
    3. Fix spaces between HTML attributes
    4. Fix broken HTML

    Can you also install this mini-plugin?

    Those options only made things worse and showed random symbols.

    When installing this plugin. All text, that comes through from WooCommerce, shows up like this now: https://prnt.sc/qcnn6v

    Maybe I should reinstall something? It seems like no one else is reporting this issue.

    similar problem and i cant find a solution. similar strange gettext error, mainly in the checkout page and sometimes in the cart

    Hi Hekcis,

    In my experience, what helped was to add the words in the original language (for which TranslatePress was showing the error) into the list of Excluded strings under the Advanced tab (under the Gettext String, the Domain can be ignored).

    This problem is still persistent.
    I don’t know what triggers it.
    I build a page for a client and used Woo Side Cart and Translatepress. Everythings fine.
    Duplicated the page and just changed the design – the problem is back.
