I’m seeing lots of weird Urls showing up in my Google search console as “exlcuded.”
When I go to “Coverage” then the excluded tab, then “alternate page with proper canonical” I’m seeing literally hundreds of these:

I can see that they have something to do with WordFence, and they redirect to my home page, but it seems to me that it’s not necessary for Google to be crawling these URLs.
So can you tell me please, is there a setting within the plugin that I can change to stop this?

    Thanks,
    Wendy

    Hello @wenandmiss

    Sorry for the delay.

The links you’re seeing are used by Wordfence to determine if traffic is human or bot. Those pages should not be indexed, and in most cases the reason they are indexed is due to an issue with the theme or some form of cache you might be using. They should instead load a blank page. If they load a real page or the home page, then it is likely a theme issue.
