Hi! I am at a loss. My site name is Startup CEO Reflections (startupceoreflections.com). I am using Ashe Pro on www.ads-software.com and I have looked everywhere because when an email gets sent out when I post a new blog, have someone subscribe, the email always says “New post on Welcome” instead of “New post on Startup CEO Reflections”. The sending email address is “Welcome <[email protected]>”. This is very confusing for my readers. And I have customized the body of the email in settings/reading/blog follow email text and my customizations appear in the emails received, but their site name is still listed as Welcome in the subject line. I don’t even know how to search for this because anywhere I can customize email information it is correct. Where is this “default” hidden and how do I change it? Please help!

What plugin are using for someone to subscribe to your site?

I think I am using the basic WordPress one. I am a new WordPress user.

From my WordPress dashboard on my site, I can go under Settings/Reading and customize the text for my “Blog Follow Email Text” and that is the text that appears in the email. I think that is the default one for WordPress, but I don’t actually know. It was there when I set up my site. However, there are no fields to change “Welcome” to something else.

Under the Settings/General, my site title is “Startup CEO Reflections” with the right tagline underneath. The WordPress Address (URL) is correct as is the Site Address (URL).

But the emails that get sent don’t have my site name in the subject line, instead they have You have subscribed to Welcome.

No, WP core does not have this feature as default.

You must be using either (1) a plugin for it (2) or this is a feature of your active theme.

Hence, please find out so I can direct you accordingly.

    Thank you for your help.

I have already contacted my Theme provider (Ashe Pro). They say it is not part of their theme, and directed me to post here.

When I look under Plugins, I see several activated, including:
    – Bluehost
    – Jetpack by WordPress.com
    – OptinMonster API
    – Yoast SEO
    – Google Analytics for WordPress by MonsterInsights (but I know that one isn’t working since I have not been successful in getting it set up)

I don’t know what these plugins do precisely. So I am not quite sure how to answer your question about plugins besides looking at this list.

    Thank you for guiding me.

I’m guessing it to be the feature of Jetpack plugin.

I’m moving this topic to their dedicated support forum so the plugin’s developers and support community can help you with this.

    Hi @jenuity,

I performed a sync on your site and the title updated to “Startup CEO Reflections”. Every email message that your readers receive from now on it’ll have the correct title.
