    Hello,

I installed and set up MailPoet last week.

Having issues with a Welcome Email.

    Notes:

    • Welcome Email to send a followup email 2 days after a new user registers on the site. I signed up as a new user to test it.
    • Didn’t work, I tested with 1 day. I added another new user.
    • Both tests did not send.
    • Followup is active and the status shows as “1 scheduled”  more than 2 days after the new user signed up.
    • No bounces are logged.

Am I missing something with the setup?

Do I need to upgrade to a different plan?

    Using:

    • BuddyBoss Pro
    • WP Mail SMTP
    • And other plugins

All plugins are the most recent versions.

Other emails (via forms and BuddyBoss automatic emails) send without issues.

I have attempted other fixes and read several forum posts. Also tested with different plugins turned off. No fix so far.

    Any ideas are welcome. Thanks!

  • hey , can you confirm if you click on “0 Sent” it opens a list with email addresses followed by status next to them as “sent” or “unprocessed” .

I also have set the same rules to send email to new users, but I do get this , although as there is no traction , I don’t think emails are being delivered

    Hi @supercutsdotme,

Since you are using Wp-Mail SMTP, could you review if the settings in the plugin are correct and a test mail works as expected when you test it?

Once you have confirmation on the test mail, Could you check if you can see any status on the mails being sent? If the issue persists,

Can you please share with us the following information:

    • A screenshot of the MailPoet > Help > System Status page. Please ensure to capture the whole page or make several screenshots.
    • Copy and paste the information from MailPoet > Help > System Info.

Do keep us posted on how the recommended suggestion works out for you.

    Hello there @supercutsdotme,

Thank you for getting back to us and sending over the information that we requested.

I’m taking a look and I can’t see any errors.

Can you confirm what email address you’re using to test and if the email address is listed as “subscribed” in the plugin?

Welcome emails will be scheduled if an email address is listed as unconfirmed. Once the email address is confirmed and marked as subscribed, the welcome email will be sent.

Kindly let us know if this is the case.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

The newly registered users (who should receive the followup welcome emails) are in “WordPress Users” Subscribers as Unconfirmed.

It does not send out a confirmation email or the scheduled Welcome Email. No bounces.

I updated the Settings – Basics to have “Subscribe in Registration Form” and then a confirmation email sent out to a new user. However, it only offers “Newsletter Mailing List” — not the basic, automatic “WordPress Users”

I’ll wait a day to see if the automatic Welcome Email sends to the new test user.

    Other Questions:

    • If I send out with SMTP or other setup (not MailPoet Sending Service) can the extra confirmation email be bypassed?
    • For currently registered users, is there a way to send out the Confirmation Email without having to do “Resend Confirmation Email” for every individual subscriber/user?

If I can auto-subscribe a new user without a confirmation email: I do have WP SMTP Pro — but when I tried that setup, the test emails did not even send out

    Hi @supercutsdotme

    > The newly registered users (who should receive the followup welcome emails) are in “WordPress Users” Subscribers as Unconfirmed.

Their status of Unconfirmed is why the welcome mail isn’t being sent. That said, they should all be getting a confirmation email to confirm. Could you confirm for me on how these users are registering on your site? Is there a specific form, or creating an account or membership, etc? Can you link us to it?

    Other Questions:

    • If I send out with SMTP or other setup (not MailPoet Sending Service) can the extra confirmation email be bypassed?

The welcome emails will still be scheduled until the user is confirmed, and this won’t change regardless of how you try to send them.
    • For currently registered users, is there a way to send out the Confirmation Email without having to do “Resend Confirmation Email” for every individual subscriber/user?
Yes, this will happen automatically, unless there is something that’s blocking this or perhaps there is something blocking this confirmation emails from being triggered. Once we can look at how they are registering we can check on what could be blocking this.
