@taufrisch88 dear sir, giving 2 stars with no detail, feedback or attempt at troubleshooting for a free tool with hundreds of hours behind it is downright petty (just a wordpress passer-by here)

There is people that confuse free as not money and free as in freedom and forget the hours that programmers give us as a present. They are using free software without understanding.

And the right to error when you try to solve a big problem as it is privacy and Google Analytics.

Nothing to do with google analytics or anything like that. And also not related to my awareness that there was done much work on this plugin.
But free or not, you have to communicate about your stuff… it’s the same with this CF7. No communication.million of broken websites.
In the case of of Matomo, suddenly no data was tracked.
You have to go in the deepest setting of the Plugin to find an error message that they now require changes on your server settings (forgot which one). It worked perfectly. Then they changed something which requires action of the User without proper communication.
And that is the basis of my rating.
And I know what it means to work for ?free“.
